Ainz "Brainz" Prasad launched his illustrious music career in 1998 by securing a publishing deal with renowned songwriter Kenny "Baby Face" Edmonds. This pivotal partnership catapulted Brainz to multi-platinum success as a music producer, propelling him to collaborate with an array of high-profile artists, including Jamie Foxx, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, P!NK, Miley Cyrus, French Montana, and Pitbull, among others.
Brainz's expertise extends beyond music production to film scoring and music supervision, with credits including the American Music Award-winning soundtrack for "Save The Last Dance." His filmography encompasses notable titles such as "Django," "The Amazing Spider-Man," "Hard Ball," "Pootie Tang," and "Beerfest." Additionally, Brainz has produced music for prominent networks like FOX, BET, and ESPN's "30 for 30" series.
Throughout his career, Brainz has excelled in commercial campaigns for esteemed brands like Verizon, Mercedes-Benz, Under Armour, and Bombay Sapphire. Currently, he is focused on film composing, having had the privilege of working alongside Hans Zimmer on "The Amazing Spider-Man." Brainz's recent projects include composing music and serving as music supervisor for the feature film "All-Star Weekend" (2021), starring Jamie Foxx, Jeremy Piven, and Robert Downey Jr.
In 2018, Brainz assumed the role of music producer for the BET Awards and expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors into the tech sphere, developing an innovative online music-licensing platform. That same year, his production company, HMG, acquired a publishing catalog that garnered five Grammy Awards, including R&B Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Bruno Mars' "24K Magic."
Brainz's recent projects include composing music for the Netflix series "Dad Stop Embarrassing Me" (2021) and the animated feature film "Groove Tales" (2021). He has also signed an administrative partnership deal with BMG Music Publishing. From 2022 to 2024, Brainz scored music for the feature film "Not Another Church Movie," the award-winning short film "The Orchestra Chuck Built," and "The Hardway," which won several independent film awards.
